The Temple
The Temple lies east of the Mountain of Fate, hidden in the mist, for characters from level 60 on. Its monks have renounced the world. Here you break through to the realm Golden Core, kneel before the stone Jizo and fight the strongest monsters of the world so far.
How do you find the temple?
Section titled “How do you find the temple?”At first, the path east of the mountain stays in the mist; the world map shows only ??? there. The main story shows you the way in a later life. Once your family has found the temple, the The Temple Path stays open in every life from level 60. Down to the Mountain takes you back to the mountain for free.
There is no shop at the temple, no fishing and no hunting. Bring food and potions.
What can you do there?
Section titled “What can you do there?”The temple has four places: the Courtyard with the monks, the fights and the temple cell, the Jizo Path with the offering and the vigil, the Meditation Hall for meditation and the breakthrough, and the Bell Tower.

Steel Pickaxe is best) are the temple’s materials.
- The temple cell heals you fully for 40 Gold and makes you Rested.
What does the offering to Jizo do?
Section titled “What does the offering to Jizo do?”Coins in the bowl, a stick of incense, a bow: Offering to Jizo costs 800 Gold and grants Jizo's Ward, +6% EXP for 1 h. You can offer again once the hour is over.
How do you reach the Golden Core?
Section titled “How do you reach the Golden Core?”Golden Core is the third cultivation realm. The breakthrough works like the one to Foundation Establishment (see Cultivation and breakthrough), with three differences:
- It takes place in the temple’s meditation hall (Golden Core Breakthrough), not at the Spirit Spring.
- It needs level 60 and a
Golden Core Pill. The monks give you the first pill; later ones come from Alchemy.
Cedar Incense raises the chance.
- A successful breakthrough calls down the
Tribulation of the Golden Core, a much harder fight than the
Heavenly Tribulation.

What is the vigil before Jizo?
Section titled “What is the vigil before Jizo?”In the story, the monks ask you to bring a glass for Jizo’s blessing. While their task is open, you spend a night before the stone Jizo: Vigil before Jizo uses up Clear Glass, three
Cedar Incense and a
Red Bib, and in the morning you hold the
Blessed Glass. It is a story item that stays with your family.
The way there starts on the coast: Dig Coast Sand on the Saltwind Coast gives Coast Sand, which you smelt into clear glass.

Which monsters live there?
Section titled “Which monsters live there?”The Incense Slime, the
Frost Macaque, the
Stone Komainu, the
Hungry Ghost, the
Lost Pilgrim and the
Ash Crow cover all five elements. The
Shadow Remnant is an elite that attacks through a random event; it is the only source of the
Jizo Amulet.
The Bell Oni stole the old temple bell generations ago and lives in the gorge below the path: level 68, from character level 64, respawn timer 1 h. Its bronze-hard skin swallows much of your damage until an elemental skill cracks it, and every few actions it swings the bell for a crushing blow. It is very hard alone; a party makes it much easier, because it grows more slowly with every fighter than other bosses.

Tips and common mistakes
Section titled “Tips and common mistakes”- Bring potions. There is no shop at the temple; the
Temple Elixir is crafted.
- Offer to Jizo before long sessions. The EXP bonus pays off if you stay for the full hour.
- Fight the Bell Oni with friends. Its own group scaling makes it a party boss.
- Dig sand on the coast early. The glass needs
Coast Sand, and the coast is a long way from the temple.
